Biography
I am a composer and pianist based in London. I am experienced in writing in many different styles and my work ranges from orchestral pieces and cinematic music to modern electronic pop. I enjoy experimenting with sound design to create different sounds and textures and incorporate this in many of my pieces.
My passion is writing music for media, and I have composed scores for a short documentary film, a feature length documentary film, an online performance of Shakespeare’s ’A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and an audio play about the regency celebrity actor Grimaldi.
I am a classically trained pianist and have a BA (Hons) in Music & Sound. I particularly enjoy working as a rehearsal accompanist for singers. Collaborating with other artists and working together to achieve their artistic vision is the part of the process that motivates me most.
As well as composing I have taught piano for the last fifteen years and get immense enjoyment from helping young musicians during their musical journeys. I have a DipABRSM in Instrumental Teaching and I currently work for Waltham Forest Music Service, teaching students in primary and secondary schools.
